[edit] Phyllis Schlafly
First off, part of my reversion was a mistake. I did not intend to revert your edits as to her social class or employment at the ordnance factory. What I meant to revert was the genealogy you added. Short of presidents and royalty I see no reason to include lineage. We should probably move the remainder of this to the talk page for Schlafly. As an aside, what are you doing with your studies in Russology? I see you have MA's in government and economics, while I am studying public administration. Also, welcome to Wikipedia! [edit] To Rkevins82
Sorry to be so late in repsonding. I was out of the country and away from computers.
Sure, let's move over to the talk page. Brief descriptions of several recent generations are useful background materials. We owe much of our formation to our parents, and they, to their parents, and so on. It quickly gets hazy, so I'm not sure how useful lineage is beyond several generations, even for presidents. Blood doesn't buy you a ticket to the dance in a republic.
I tried to make my info factual, without indulging in analysis. That's best left to biographers. Given Schlafly's outspokenness, I think these facts can be useful.
Felsenthal's biography devotes considerable space to Schlafly's family background. I was drawing on that and other materials. (Schlafly was Felsenthal's first bio and suffers somewhat, I think, from a lack of experience.) I'll try a rewrite the paragraphs and see where we go.
I'm retired. I thought I was done with things Russian, but am headed to Moscow for the next two years.
