- Kallat is a part of a larger group of avant-garde Indian artists that are drawing the attention of western collectors and art historians. I started this article because I felt that the profile of Indian artists is rising. I wrote it based on notes I took when Kallat was the visiting artist at my undergraduate university about six years ago. I am an art historian, but Indian art is not my specialty area; I was hoping that others more familiar with Kallat's work would continue this article.brkmyr 05:22, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
