Jiro Nitta

Nitta Jirō (新田 次郎 nitta jirō?) (June 6, 1912-February 15, 1980) was the pen name of popular Japanese historical novelist Fujiwara Hiroto (藤原 寛人 fujiwara hiroto?). After reetirement in Japan Meteorological Agency, he got at writing. concentOriginally a meteorologist, he wrote mainly on themes connected with mountains. His works include Death March on Mount Hakkoda (based on an incident in 1902 in the Hakkoda mountain range) and Alaskan Tale.
