Welcome

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed you made some changes to Bishop Luffa School. Some of these were obvious vandalism, but some (it seemed to me) were made in good will. I hope you decide to stay on Wikipedia and contribute. In the end, it's more rewarding to have curious people all around the world read information you've researched than it is to temporarily deface a page for a quick laugh.

You should read the no original research and neutral point of view policies.

For example, you might've noticed that Wikipedia does not have an entry for Bishop Ralph de Luffa, after whom your school was named. If you have some time, you can glance at some facts in your school library and update the article with your findings.

Finally, as a friendly tip, you might be able to bypass the MSN restrictions by using meebo.

Cheers, Ori from Vancouver, Canada.

Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Although steven jury is considered an important figure he is not important enough to be on the bishop luffa page.

cheers Dean Randall talk

Your VandalProof Application

Dear Jimothytrotter,

Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact with the new 1.2 version release it has even more power. As such we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that Not enough mainspace edits. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again in the not too distant future. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. BLHDA

Hi jamie. I'm pleased to see you created a article about BLHDA. i created one earlier about it but it got deleted despite my best attempts to keep it. I almost got banned in the process

Blocked

You have been blocked from editing Wikipedia for the next 24 hours because of making personal attacks and threats against another editor. See the block log for more details. If you want to contribute constructively, you may return when the block expires. Thanks. ЯEDVERS 20:14, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
Sorry about that redvers, i take back anything i said, i did not mean to cause you any harm with my "personal attacks" however i understand that you may have seen them as attacks. I will refrain from editing anything about the blhda again and am sorry that its come to this.

Signature

I'm flattered that the two of you boys, being so obviously close to each other, have decided to copy my signature. But perhaps you'd like to modify the colours a bit, or something else, so nobody accidently accuses you of attempting to impersonate me. Thanks. ЯEDVERS 20:20, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Certainly

Thanks for pointing that out, I was impressed at the way in which you did that! I shouldn't imagine anybody would think I was impersanating you but you cant be too sure these days! JIMOTHY T

p.s hope thats better

Impersonation

Nice signature. Glad it doesn't look anything like Redvers signature. Who would want to impersonate him? do you keep having to use tht complicated HTML for your signature all the time or is there an easier way? Darren

Personal attacks

I may be being a bit "dim" when i say this redvers but i was just wondering how "removing excrement" could be seen as an attack? It appears to me to be a humourous comment and not one which should be seen as an insult or anything which is in anyway harmful, maybe its just because I myself have a more developed sense of humour than you after watching hours of situation comedies on the old plasma screen that i can see that this was purely a joke comment and should not be seen as anything more.

As far as i'm concerned the world is a bad place without a bit of houmour, whether misplaced or not, comical moments are the moments that stay with us for life and should be treasured, if you still fail to see this then I hope you find a cure for your problem soon.

If you feel there is a proper and sufficeient reason for the blocking of my friend darren then would you please make it clear and I all will be well. In the mean time I will be contacting Dareen and asking him if the comment 'after being warned' is a true comment or not, as i myslef am unaware of any warning. cheers your pal JIMOTHY T-20:13, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi Jimothytotter. Please try to assume good faith when talking to people on Wikipedia. Please also assume that when one editor (especially an experienced one, say for instance an administrator here) tags an article for clean-up that this may mean the article requires a clean up.

The clean-up tags usually give some useful links you might like to follow: the best one is to the manual of style that tells you what is required from a Wikipedia article.

If you'd like the article in question - with its advertising language and obvious cut-and-paste nature included - to be peer reviewed, you can ask for a peer review or, more drastically, nominate for deletion and see if it survives the process with the community's attention upon it.

We do seem to bump into each other a lot on Wikipedia, don't we? But then I edit in a lot of places in Wikipedia, so that's to be expected. You can always check Special:Contributions/Redvers to see where I've been today.

Thanks ЯEDVERS 20:23, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Not Myspace

Hoy, Wikipedia is not myspace. How about you stop leaving messages on Redvers talk page that appear to have nothing to do with writing...you know...an encyclopedia. Cheers, Syrthiss 19:37, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Scripts

There are various scripts at Wikipedia:Tools and its subpages. You should be able to see what is and isn't possible there.

However, I should point out that we strongly discourage the development of scripts or tools that don't help with the building or maintenance of our encyclopedia. Scripts that change the colour of a page or greet a user by name would not be considered of use to the project and, if developed at all, would be deleted by WP:MfD in short order.

Hope you find something of use in the Wikipedia:Tools section. ЯEDVERS 09:31, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

Your edit to User:Redvers

[1] Please don't do this again. --Guinnog 21:39, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

And this. This is your final warning. Stop making persoanl attacks. I will block you. The JPStalk to me 15:39, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

The links in your signature are incorrect

Your sig links to User:JimothyTrotter instead of Jimothytrotter. Can you correct that? If someone clicks on your name to hit your talkpage they go to a non-existant page. Thanks! Syrthiss 21:41, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

Re:user page

Hey, sorry about that. I was archiving my talk page and I was looking for cool new ways to illustrate it when I stumbled on Dismas's. I copied it, not remembering to change the link. I now need to apologize to Dismas! About the userpage: It was re-designed by a very good artist named Daniel.Bryant (this time I know for sure!). It took me a long time to get someone to fix it, but he did a great job!! Contact him for more details. How did you come across my page, btw?--Chili14 21:53, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

Non-notable article speedily deleted

The article Chichester youth brass band has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This happened because the article seems to be about a person or group of persons but it does not indicate how or why that person or group is notable. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. You might also want to read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. The JPStalk to me 15:47, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Colloquis

No problem. Let me know when you have enabled your email. You'll need to fill me in on the background of your request as well, obviously. --Guinnog 17:57, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

I'm still getting a message that your email isn't set up. Can you look again? --Guinnog 18:02, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Userpage

...is done! Daniel.Bryant 04:30, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Oh, I also awarded you a barnstar, but instead of adding it both here and on your userpage, I just added it there. The reason is listed on your userpage. Cheers, Daniel.Bryant 04:42, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Sig

Er, without meaning to be rude... no, it isn't. See WP:SUBST for a full reasoning of why not. You need to go into your preferences and change it to {{subst:User:Jimothytrotter/sig}} or else every time you change the sig the hit to the servers will be huge. ЯEDVERS 13:44, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Personally, I think the sig falls foul of WP:SIG as it goes on and on forever with redundant mark-up and HTML.
As for the speedy delete, don't worry too much about it. This is a common occurrance with vanity articles. Tag the article, drop a note to the user using one of the official templates, keep cool and eventually it will be deleted. As long as the user is correctly welcomed and warned, there are procedures for sorting these things. Happy editing. ЯEDVERS 14:07, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Not true

You can do it the way I just said, i do! JiMoThYTALK

it does this for me {{Subst:User:Kinglloyd/sig}} 17:41, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

you two seen to be having problems with your signature DARReNTALK

thanks for that, altohugh I think we realised! --JiMoThYTALK 19:04, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

lol, i need to email you that homework. Shall i do it through wikipedia? cos my msn don't work. or outlook express? DARReNTALK ok, give me 10 minutes Dean randall 19:13, 11 September 2006 (UTC) let me tell you now it is of a poor standard. i'm terrible at maths DARReNTALK oi jim, page 1 ready Image:Jim homework.JPG oi jim, page two ready Image:Jim homework2.JPG i would delete it after use

And said images could now be forwarded to your headmaster, with a copy of this talk page. I don't mean to be rude, Jim, but you and your friends need to grasp that this is an encyclopedia and not a free webhost or MySpace or MSN. Perhaps the author should request deletion of the images. Perhaps immediately. And perhaps not do it again. Or perhaps join MySpace instead of Wikipedia. Whatever. ЯEDVERS 19:38, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

Hey..

I need to talk to you about some scripts that make editing wikipedia easier, can u use msn?--JiMoThYTALK 17:11, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
