[edit] New Tour Stop Page

If I get a chance, I'm going to take a stab at creating a new sub-page for Tour Stops. I suppose it should be called either "Tour Stops" or "Tour Stops (Jim Rome). It should free up some of the space on the main page, and will allow for a lot more expansion about the TS's, since they are events within themselves. It'll be pretty simple at first, any ideas out there? Doctorindy 15:09, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

  • You're gonna have to lean on Saxonjf and Zpb52 for this one, as I've never heard or seen a Tour Stop (yet). Willbyr 18:45, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
  • I don't know anything about the tour stops. I've never been to any, and there's only been one (maybe two) since I've been a listener. I wrote the Smack-Off article because I had a lot of resources, and originally wrote Smack-Off 2005 article before that. I know the general format, and a little trivia, but probably not enough to even merit edits once the article is written; I also know that there will not be a tour stop anywhere near where I live, maybe ever. --Saxonjf 19:17, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
  • It might be a little tough (I've never been to one either), but the main reason I think we should create the new page is because it technically is a "seperate entity" from the radio show. We can use what we have to start it, and since there's been over 30 of them, it should eventually start a life of its own. I think we can get a pretty healthy list of at least trivia style listings under the history chart until the full list can be compiled. Also, I noticed that the term "Tour Stop" is not used in wiki yet, so it would be appropriate to secure that as a title for the page. Doctorindy 21:46, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
    • I put the new Tour Stops page up live, and edited down the main page paragraph to a mere intro plus link. Any ideas, comments? Too much? Too little? I think it has potential to grow on its own. Doctorindy 19:45, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
      • Looks good to me. "Rack him!" Willbyr 22:01, 10 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Page Creation

  • I put this page up live today, and as a result, I'm going to take away a little bit from the main page. I took this as a first stab at it, and hopefully it can built some momentu of its own. Any comments out there? Doctorindy 19:39, 10 February 2006 (UTC)

I feel it would be more appropriate to name the page Jim Rome Tour Stops. -Drdisque 20:13, 10 February 2006 (UTC)

  • On consideration, that is a good point, I did that today Doctorindy 22:05, 10 February 2006 (UTC)

I believe the correct name of this article should be Jim Rome World Tour as that is what he refers to his tour stops (on his Web site). - 209.161.227.64 19:54, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
