Talk:Jim O'Rourke
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The below discussion happened when the article only discussed the musician
Is this person also known by another perhaps longer name? The name "Jim O'Rourke" is more famously used for a ball player who was born in the mid-1800s. --mav
- Nope, he's simply Jim O'Rourke. At the moment an entry doesn't exist for the baseball player, but Jim O'Rourke (musician) could be an option if somebody had a problem with the entry - Greg Godwin
If the more modern one is only known by Jim O'Rourke then perhaps we can have the article for the ballplayer at James Henry O'Rourke. I do hate using parenthetical titles unless they are absolutely necessary. --mav
- earlier problems of this nature: Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (people with the same name)
An anon has since come along and made a disambig of this. --Camembert
I've just redirected all the incoming links to the right places though for some reason Steve Shelley doesn't want to leave it alone. If anyone can sort that out I'd be happy. Jellypuzzle | Talk 19:05, 3 January 2006 (UTC)
