Jimmy Jewel

Jimmy Jewel (born December 4, 1909, Sheffield; died December 3, 1995, London) was a British television and film actor.

Jewel's early career was as part of a double act with Ben Warriss (1909-93), his cousin, who together made regular television appearances in the 1950s after a popular radio series Up the Pole in the post-war years. After spliting from Warriss in 1966, Jewel starred in the sitcom Nearest and Dearest with Hylda Baker and in the later drama series Spring and Autumn. In the 1980's he made a guest appearance in an episode of the Lovejoy TV series. His film appearances included The Krays.
