Jimmy Haslip

Jimmy Haslip is an electric bass player and record producer. He is best known for his work with the pioneering fusion group The Yellowjackets and his early use of the 5-string bass. In addition to the Yellowjackets, he has worked with many other artists, including Bruce Hornsby, Rita Coolidge, Gino Vannelli, Tommy Bolin, Allan Holdsworth, Chaka Khan,Al Jarreau, Jing Chi, Donald Fagan and Anita Baker. Haslip has also recorded two critically acclaimed solo albums, Arc and Red Heat.
