At the age of 12 Jimmy ran away from home and ended up being abducted by a group of pedophiles that were associated with the Johnny Gosch Case. In 1992 Americas Most Wantedaired an episode about the Johnny Gosch case in which they found Jimmy. Jimmy verified the circumstances about Johnny and also verified certain facts about the Gosch child that only the parents knew. Jimmy stated that Johnny is still alive and that he has contact with Gosch.

When the Gannon.comscandal became news Jimmy was one of the first people that said Gannon was not Gosch. As time would go by it was verified that Gannon was not Gosch.

One of the most incredible details of the Jimmy case is that he is one of the kids that have the reported brandsgiven to him by his captors. Called the "Rocking X", in the photos Mrs. Gosch recently received, the brand is shown on Johnny's arm. The brands Jimmy has were medically verified by doctors hired by America's Most Wanted stated as authentic.

Jimmy's true identity is still a mystery, there are some that say he is actually Eugene Wade Martin, also an abducted child from Iowa and there are some that say he is a runaway that got mixed up in the same ordeal as Johnny. No one truly knows. No one has seen or heard from Jimmy in quite some time.
