Jim Levenstein

James Emanuel Levenstein, more commonly referred to as Jim, is a fictional character depicted in the three films comprising the American Pie series. He is the focal character of the American Pie teens, being the clumsy dork of the group.
Jim is played by Jason Biggs.

Jim lives with his mother and father until the close of the series. He is an only child, and has a close, loving family. He has an especially good, though sometimes embarrassing, relationship with his father, who often gives good advice and tries to be understanding about all the strange sexual behaviors he has witnessed from Jim in the part.
His main friends include the American Pie teens - Oz, Kevin and Finch.
His lone sexual partner is Michelle Flaherty. Other girls that he was sexually involved with include Natalie, a girl from his college that he was interrupted in the act of sex with by both his parents and both of Natalie's parents, and Nadia, a Czechoslovakian exchange student, whom he saw naked, kissed and touched.
Jim, until the end of American Pie, was a virgin, and had not previously had any sexual contact with a girl. His next sexual encounter was with a girl from college, then with Michelle to be taught about sexuality, then after a staged break-up, he got together with Michelle again.

Jim went to East Great Falls High. He is the first of the characters to be introduced in American Pie, in an embarrassing opening, the style of which would become standard in the American Pie trilogy. He is caught masturbating before bed to scrabbled pornography when his parents walk in to find one of his socks (as a makeshift condom). He is good at World History, and has a 720 English SAT score.

In response to the pact to lose his virginity by the end of high school, Jim attempts to do this by e-dating services, which fail. He has no further plans, and it comes as a great surprise to him that Nadia, an exchange student, asks him to help her in History. She changes, discovers Jim's porn collection and begins to masturbate. Her need to get changed at his place after ballet practice led to a sequence in the film called Nadiavision, where Nadia was secretly filmed by webcam and broadcast at an address intentionally sent to Kevin (with Finch and Jim also watching) and Stifler (with Stifler's little brother also watching), but accidentally sent to the entire East Great Falls High directory. His subsequent attempt to get with Nadia - including stripping and 'dancing' - and two premature ejaculations before even getting past second base were also broadcast. In another incident, he is caught having sex with a homemade apple pie by his father after one of his friends (Oz) joke that third base felt like that.

The above broadcast meant that Jim not only ruled out getting a date for prom, but questioned his ability to talk to girls. Michelle, a band geek, then shows enough interest - and lack of knowledge of the broadcast - to make Jim hastily ask her to prom. He still expects to be unable to complete his end of the pact.
At the after-prom party, after telling a series of boring stories, she then reveals that half of Band Camp is about sexual education, and asks Jim to have sex, to which he eagerly agrees. It is then revealed that she knew all about the broadcast and his premature ejaculations, and wished to go with him because she knew that he would have sex with her.
The morning after, Michelle had left, leading Jim to feel used, but being very happy about that fact. Later, with the pact-buddies, Jim would tell them that they had sex, but no details were heard about it. Jim, more so even than his other pact-buddies, sees sex as a focal point of life.

Jim went to Northwestern University, with the goal of becoming a writer. At the end of his freshman year, he succeeded in having sexual liaisons with a girl, only to be interrupted by the arrival of his parents and the girl's parents. He becomes convinced of his sexual lack.
Bored by holidays, and somewhat confused by how your hometown is exactly the same while being completely different, he goes with Kevin, Finch, Oz and Stifler to a beachhouse on Lake Michigan, where he is hospitalized after accidentally mistaking superglue for lubricant and glueing his hand to his penis while watching lesbian pornography. His father then defends his son's actions quite loudly in the waiting area at the hospital, at the end of the movie.
First, Jim is eager for Nadia's arrival.

Jim ends up getting married to Michelle in American Wedding.

Even though Jim does not appears in this spin-off, his father does say that Michelle is pregnant, and the couple are expecting their first child. In the next spin-off, it is mentioned he is currently off raising a baby with Michelle.
