Jim Langton

Jim Langton was a famous Irish sportsperson who played hurling for Éire Óg and County Kilkenny in the 1930s. He was named in the left half-forward position on the Gaelic Athletic Association's "Hurling Team of the Millennium."
Langton was one of the great hurlers of his generation, and just one member of the great Kilkenny teams of the 1930s. As a member of the Kilkenny team he won All-Ireland minor titles in 1935 and 1936. As a member of the senior team he won 2 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship medals in 1939 and 1947.
