Jim L. Wells is currently a Sports-Talk radio host for KESP, Am 970 ESPN Radio in Modesto, California.

Jim got his start on the radio in the late 90's at KESP, then know as "The Sports Animal". He began as the producer on "The Ivie League Show" for the late Matthew Ivie. After 5 months at KESP, Wells accepted the morning show producer position for the very popular "D.J. Walker and the Kat Family Morning Show" on KATM Kat Country 103.3 FM in Modesto, Ca.

In Early 2002 Wells was hired as the Program Director of KESP, AM 970 ESPN Radio. He hosted "The Central Valley Sports Page" a daily 3 hour morning show from 7-10am.

After a two year stint as the PD, Wells moved on to KBKY, Fox Sports 94.1FM, in Merced, Ca. At KBKY, Jim teamed up with Matt Stone on "The Afternoon Sports Battle" Weekday afternoons from 4-7pm.

In March of 2006, Jim returned to KESP in Modesto where he is currently the host of "The Jim" which airs from 1-4pm PT Monday - Friday.

In Addition to his radio duties, Jim is also a TV sports anchor for "The Central Valley Report" based in Modesto, California
