From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jim Kelly is an N-Scale model railroader and has a model railroad of the Tehachapi Loop. He has built other layouts in the 1980s but he wanted his layout to be something more ambitious and new so he decided to build a model of the Tehachapi Loop. He built his benchwork using the L-Girder method pioneered by Linn Westcott.

His layout was also featured on an episode of Tracks Ahead. He has written a book on model railroad benchwork and used to be the editor of Model Railroader magazine and his layout was featured in the magazine as well, Jim Kelly is now retired from being an editor.
