Jim Irwin (sportscaster)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jim Irwin was a longtime sportscaster at WTMJ Radio in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is probably best known as the voice of the Green Bay Packers for many years. Paired with former Packer Max McGee, the two were very popular. Jim also broadcast Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks, and University of Wisconsin football games. According to the WTMJ website[1], Jim joined the Packers radio broadcasts as a color analyst in 1969 and assumed play by play duties in 1975, a position he held until his retirement after the 1998 season.
