Jim Hefferon

Jim Hefferon(b. October 12, 1958) is one of the main CTAN maintainers, and a professor of Mathametics at Saint Michaels College. He is also a member of the TeX board of directors, and has written a book about linear algebra.

Jim Hefferon grew up in Connecticut and attended The University of Connecticut where he obtained a PHD in mathematics.
[edit] Saint Michael's days
Jim Hefferon moved to Vermont in 1992 and took a job at Saint Michael's College. He became an active member of the Linux community and also finished a book that he had been writing over a number of years. He also became an active member of CTAN and is one of the maintainers of the website. As well as being a HAM radio enthusiast.
