Jim Grover (martial arts)

J. Kelly McCann (pseudonym: Jim Grover) is the Senior Vice President of Kroll’s Security Services Group and heads its Protective Services & Training Group.
While serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, Mr. McCann was responsible for standardizing all hostage recovery tactics and equipment, and training all counter-terrorist forces.
Mr. McCann holds a Master Instructor rating in combative skills and is a subject-matter expert in close combat for the U.S. Marine Corps; close quarters battle for the Office of Naval Research; protective services for the Department of State; apprehension avoidance for the Joint Personal Recovery Agency, and high-risk environment tactics, techniques and procedures for the Department of Defense.
He was prominently featured in an article for Esquire magazine written by Tucker Carlson, who he escorted through Iraq after the 2003 invasion.
He is also well known among firearms enthusiasts and private security firms for his instructional videos that are distributed through Paladin Press and his appearances as a commentator on CNN.
His techniques are drawn from his own experience in the United States Marine Corps as well as Rex Applegate.
