Jim Dutcher (basketball coach)

Jim Dutcher is the former head basketball coach at the University of Minnesota.
Dutcher took over the Gophers program in 1975 following the departure of Bill Musselman, previously having been an assistant coach at the University of Michigan. His best season was 1982, in which he led the Gophers to the Big Ten Championship and a Sweet 16 appearance and was named the Big Ten Coach of the Year. He resigned midway through the 1986 season. Over his 11 seasons at the school, Dutcher attained a 190-113 record.
