Jim Benning (born April 29, 1963 in Edmonton, Alberta) was a professional ice hockey defenseman who played 605 NHL games for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks. Before entering the league, he was a member of the Fort Saskatchewan Traders in the neighbouring city.
