Jillian Michaels (born 24 February 1974)[1] is a personal trainer, and appears on the television series The Biggest Loser (US) as the trainer for the red team. She travelled to Australia in 2006 for the filming of an Australian version of The Biggest Loser.

Jillian Michaels began her career in exercise, because before her teenage years, she was significantly overweight. As a young adult, her mother enrolled her in a martial arts class. This was a new beginning for Jillian and forever after she was concerned in helping other overweight individuals to make a change and transform their lives and bodies.

Jillian Michaels has a strong background in martial arts, including training in Muay Thai and Akarui-Do. She uses a blend of strength training techniques with her clients, including kickboxing, yoga, Pilates, plyometrics, and weight training.[2]

According to Jillian Michaels' official homepage, "Jillian lives in Los Angeles with her beloved and faithful Chihuahua, Baxter. When she’s not on the TV set, she enjoys traveling and getting involved in charitable activities. She is a celebrity advisor to National Day of Dance for Heart Health, an organization that encourages people to make exercise fun and to laugh, learn and dance to a healthier heart."

Jillian Michaels currently hosts a Sunday talk show on KFI AM 640.

Jillian Michaels is currently in Australia filming 'The Biggest Loser' Series 2 (as of November 25, 2006) and attended the Australian Idol Grand Final with other Biggest Loser trainer Bob Harper. The two could not believe the crowd, comparing the number of people present to that of the Oscars. Quoted from Bob - "I can't believe it, I seriously thought we were back at LA at the Oscars or something". Jillian replied with "It's crazy!". Bob replied "No, like seriously!".
