[edit] Biography

Princess Jillia Blight is the princess of the Highland Kingdom. Agares Blight, however, is not her father. When soldiers in the City-State of Jowston invaded L'Renouille Palace, they raped Sarah Blight, and Jillia resulted from this.

As a child, Jillia was idolized by Riou and Jowy whenever she would vacation in Kyaro Town.

Kyaro Town was where she met the two boys officially for the first time. They were sentenced to the scaffold to be hung as traitors. When Jillia noticed that they were just children; her age, she asks how they can be traitors. Jowy tells Jillia that Highland betrayed him, not the other way around. When a soldier tries to silence him, Jillia quiets the soldier. If the boys don't have long to live, then what would it matter if they spoke?

Jillia, like most people in Highland, was tired of war. She was glad when Agares Blight finally made peace. She was one of the few who did not believe the City-State massacred the Unicorn Brigade. Rather, she believed that Luca had something to do with it. Rather than ignore the situation, Jillia came to the front lines. During her stay at the Highland Camp, Riou and Jowy came to the camp as spies for the City-State. When they were found out by Rowd, the boys ran into Jillia's private tent. Thinking quickly, Jillia hid the boys and covered for them.

Because they couldn't leave the camp, Jillia serves some tea to the boys. She recongnizes them from Kyaro, and, remembering what Jowy said, asks if he had forgiven the country. The boys don't answer. Jowy is confused as to Jillia's presence on the front lines, and she explains. She believes her brother Luca is going to do something horrible to the people of the City-State. Before, she believed she could stop him, but now, she realizes she is limited in her capacities, as a princess and as a woman.

Later on, Jowy, who has defected to Highland and become a general, asks for Jillia's hand in marriage, which Luca agrees to, since Jowy will use this to assassinate Agares and allow Luca to become King of Highland. However, Jillia does not realize this. She agrees to wed Jowy, and, during the knighthood ceremony, Agares is poisoned. Jillia weeps for him, and immediately accuses Luca of the crime, which he does not deny. Luca asks Jillia why she weeps for him; Agares is not her father.

After Luca is killed, Jillia becomes Queen of Highland, and Jowy takes command of the army. Rather than moderate, Jillia allows Jowy to continue the war. However, the tide turns for Highland and they lose the occupied territories of the City-State: Greenhill, Matilda, and finally Muse.

After the retreat into Highland, Jowy informs Jillia that the country of Highland will disappear. He has set up a home for Jillia and Pilika to live in, under a new name to get a new start. Jowy then apologizes to Jillia for putting her through the vices of war, and she asks why apologizes to her?

Jillia informs Jowy that she is no fool; she knew all along that Jowy was the one who plotted to kill both Agares and Luca, and that he used her to do it. She didn't mind, she loved Jowy for his ambitions, and the good he would have done as ruler of Highland and the City-State. Unlike Luca, Jowy would have been fair and strong, and would have ended all war between the two countries. As Jillia leaves, she asks Jowy one question: If she were to die, would he cry? Jowy's response is that he wants Jillia to live. As Jillia leaves the room, she runs back to Jowy to embrace him one last time before bidding him farewell.

Jillia and Pilika go to Harmonia. During Jowy's trip with Riou and Nanami, he stops in and watches Jillia tend a garden through the gate. Although Pilika detects something and dashes for the gate, Jillia only silently watches.
