Jill Hazelbaker

Jill Hazelbaker has served on the staff of various U.S. Republican Party politicians. Hazelbaker was largely unknown outside Washington until she found herself in the middle of the scandal associated with the Thomas H. Kean campaign for the 2006 United States Senate. Hazelbaker served as a Kean campaign spokeswoman. According to a September 21, 2006 New York Times article[1] , Hazelbaker is suspected of astroturfing and smear campaign posts on a liberal blog.

Native of Oregon, attended the University of Oregon, she has worked at the newspaper the Oregon Daily Emerald.

On December 21, 2006 Jill Hazelbaker was hired to serve as New Hampshire communications director on the staff of John McCain.[2]
