JICIMS - Joint Industry Committee for Internet Measurement Systems
This joint committee is made up by the IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau) and the IPA (Institute of Practictioners in Advertising) and has been tasked with finding a single consumer centric currency that can be used to trade online media with. Online advertising tends to be traded either on CPM, CPC or CPA metrics currently, but in an effort to gain more support from advertisers (especially FMCGs) JICIMS was created to find a currency that would resemble an existing currency used on another medium (such as TVRs on television).
