This article is about kart racing. JICA is also the acronym for the Japan International Cooperation Agency.

Junior Intercontinental A (JICA or ICA-J) is a kart racing class for top drivers aged 13 to 15.

It uses 100 cc air cooled two-stroke engines and chassis which are approved by the CIK-FIA. Minimum weight is 135 kg with driver.

It is is one of the highest kart classes with national championships (perhaps with different tyre rules).

There is a European championship as well as Oceania and Asia-Pacific championships.

The Junior Intercontinental A class (ICA-J) will be renamed KF3 in 2007 and will use a water-cooled 125 cc “long life” TaG engine with electric starter and clutch instead of the current 100 cc direct drive engine. These engines will have a rev. limiter, allowing no more than 14,000 rpm.

A U.S. Series called the Stars of Karting Championship also runs the JICA class in nationwide events.
