If you can prove they did not receive one, I'll be happy to speedy-delete the band. - CrazyRussian talk/email 20:26, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Space Quest
Perfectly fine. I figured it was probably inadvertent. Good reference for which version to use is at Wikipedia:Manual of Style#National varieties of English. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Schuminweb (talk • contribs) 00:19, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Edit summary for reverting vandalism
Hi, when you recently reverted some vandalism to Margin of error you included the vandal's text in your edit summary. This makes it a lot more prominent and may encourage the vandal. You might like to use a summary along these lines in the future:
- Reverted edits by [[Special:Contributions/00.00.00.00|00.00.00.00]] ([[User_Talk:00.00.00.00|talk]]) to last version by Username
as described at Wikipedia:Revert. -- Avenue 01:00, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] SQ1 eggs
I copied the section from the Omnipedia, which as it seems, has open content but has copied sections of SQ.net. What's the big idea? Omnipedia can copy, while Wikipedia cannot? Pictureuploader 08:48, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
- I restored the section and I cleaned up and wikified it significantly. Check it out to improve it Pictureuploader 08:55, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
- You could just delete the ones that violated Frans' copyright. Others are just well known facts so alterations would move them away from Frans' copyvio. Anyway, thy will be done. Pictureuploader 09:11, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
- That's ok pal, thanks. Pictureuploader 10:29, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Natallia Tsylinskaya
hey, no harm done! :-) You tagged it one minute after it was created. Give the newbies a chance; many build their first article with tiny micro edits. (Don't know why they don't use "preview"...) This one looked like something more was to come, which is why I refrained from speedying it right away. (I had noticed it when it was created. So I kept it opened and reloaded after some minutes and discovered that indeed this newbie had added a little more.) Don't worry, it's a judgement call, and by only tagging it as {{db-bio}} you can never do any harm; there's always a second pair of eyes going over it before deletion. A quick google for the name also helps decide such things. Lupo 08:50, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your VandalProof Application
Dear Jibbles,
Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that at this time you do not meet the minimum requirement of 250 edits to mainspace articles (see under main here). Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. - Glen 18:07, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome to VandalProof!
Hi there, thanks for the message. I've had a good look over your edits and I agree - so welcome! - Glen 19:52, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Space Quest
Welcome, and thank you for correcting spelling on the Space Quest page on Wikipedia! However, both are acceptable spellings of the word.
Please familiarize yourself with American and British English spelling differences before making further spelling corrections to articles. Wikipedia has 4,045,675 registered users on this English Wikipedia. These editors use different versions of English including American English and British English. The list of dialects of the English language goes on and on.
When many styles are acceptable, avoid changing from one style to another unless there is some substantial reason for the change. It is acceptable to change from American spelling to British spelling only if the article concerns a British topic or vice versa or if you are making the article internally consistent.
More information is available on Wikipedia's Manual of Style. Enjoy your time on the internet's fastest growing encyclopædia/encyclopedia . Thank you.

- When using template tags on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:test}} instead of {{test}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template.

- You'll notice a bot had to clean up after you.

[edit] International Middle East Media Center
Yes, yes, sorry about being lazy about not stub-typing... i've added a link to my user page to decrease my chance of being lazy next time. :)

[edit] Concha Buika
I'm not new, i've been here for almost a year, that article have been in the Castillian wikipedia for some months, it was even smaller, without the discography. What's this all about? Gaudio 15:33, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
- Don't worry, you did the right thing, i've written articles in several wikipedias and in all of them, people input their own articles about their own lives or things like that :) Gaudio 16:08, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Stub sorting
Yeah, I generally check to see which stub to use. When I don't know which type to use I feel it is still beneficial to stick a {{stub}} tag on the article; people who know stub templates better than I will catch it. I've had people change my stub types when I'm not specific enough anyways, so I don't sweat it too much. BigNate37T·C 17:29, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Usersq65qq.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Usersq65qq.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 23:52, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image tagging for Image:Sq1vga_boxart.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Sq1vga_boxart.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Barcode Battler.jpg
Hello, you added the Barcode Battler file for the wiki page on Barcode Battler.
I do research on the Barcode Battler and help out at www.barcodebattler.co.uk
I don't recognise the box cover (the blue circle on the bottom right I have never seen before - it is red for the "ENGLISH EDITION"), and was wondering if you have this version of the game, and if so, if you could send me a higher rez version (just of this blue ellipsis would be fine).
Also, could I ask how you know that it was released in March 1991? I can't get a definite date anywhere except here.
Thanks for your time
(please reply by email <xensyria [at] gmail.com> or wiki user_talk:xensyria)
