Jhanki ([1]) is an Indian online forum where the reader community reports on events. Readers share news stories and rate ("Jhanki") stories or adds comments. Stories that are more popular and commented upon appear at the top, so in effect, readers decide the headlines.

Jhanki – literally glimpse or snapshot in Hindi, provides a forum for readers to share stories and voice their opinions on a large range of subjects, including current affairs, international news, Hollywood, bollywood, cricket, television, citizens’ concerns and job opportunities.

Jhanki was launched in September 2006, and now carries over 3500 stories on a variety of subjects.
