Jhagadia is a taluka in India.

Jhagadia has a town called Bhalod on Narmada river bank, across from Koral town. Bhalod is famous for farming bananas, cotton, and sugarcane.

Legend has it that Jhagadia used to be a Brahmin town (Brahmins are the priestly caste in Hindu society). However, today many Bhalodis have ventured out of the Jhagadia to many parts of the world primarily in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Africa.

Bhalod is famous for its so many cultural activities like 3 days program of Gangadashahara. during this all brahmin from various cities from Gujarat and from Foreign come here and get the bleassing from holy river Narmada on the birth celebration of holy river Ganga. There are many temples in Bhalod most famous are "Ramnath Mahadev", "Mokshnath Mahadev", "Datatrey", "Ranchhodnathji" and "Gayatri mata".
