[edit] Israel Railways Box

I made some changes to it, so it should now be working, i dont know how far you want it to go parameter wise, their are some variables that are not defined, but they should not pose a big problem at the moment. Let me know if you have any problems, and if i can, i'll see what i can do. --Boothy443 | trácht ar 03:37, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Norristown-100image.jpg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Norristown-100image.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Dethomas 23:33, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Train Station Templates

I am guessing that it was you that contacted me about the templat, you nedd to logg in when you edit and sign your posts. Well i fixed it back so it displays the rows correct. I also found another problem that causes a display issue. The template was set for a call on antother to slect the colour strip for the line, but you never desingated the template, so i had to cancel out the auto call and go with a manuel call in order for the display to be correct, o in th etemplate coding in the article you'll need to add a line color = | and put in the correct colour hex for the variable to display a colour. --Boothy443 | trácht ar 05:38, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Problem with your user name

Hi: Please consider changing your user name in some way. See Wikipedia:Username, especially: Inappropriate usernames: "Inappropriate usernames include both clear and masked names. Fairly or unfairly, the line between acceptable and unacceptable user names is drawn by those who find the username inappropriate, not by the creator of the name. Please don't try and find this line. Wikipedia does not allow certain types of usernames, including the following: Confusing, misleading, or troublesome usernames: Inflammatory usernames: Wikipedia does not allow potentially inflammatory or offensive user names. Inflammatory usernames are needlessly discouraging to other contributors, and disrupt and distract from our task of creating an encyclopedia. This includes, but is not limited to: Names of religious figures such as "God," "Jehovah," "Buddha," or "Allah", which may offend other people's beliefs. Names that promote a controversial point of views", and more. Thus you can see that the general Wikipedia guidelines advise against choosing user names that are "offensive, confusing, or unreadable text or characters names of celebrities, notable world figures or events, or known Wikipedians". You may notice that thus far, over the years, others have avoided or been persuaded not to choose the name "Jewish" as it may cause confusion or offense. Please see Wikipedia:Changing username. Thank you. IZAK 16:12, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

That prohibition is because wearing such a username might be taken as claiming to be "God", "Jehovah", "Buddha", or "Allah", which would be blasphemous to their believers. Claiming to be "Jewish", "Muslim", "Christian", or "Buddhist" does not commit such an offense, and should not be prohibited for that reason. SAJordan talkcontribs 20:36, 19 Dec 2006 (UTC).
Completely agree with IZAK. Unless you have a mandate to speak for the Jewish people (which would be impossible for many reasons), please, please change your nickname voluntarily. ←Humus sapiens ну? 18:41, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Please change your username to avoid controversies. Cheers -- Szvest 19:12, 29 May 2006 (UTC) Wiki me up™

I agree that a different, less political username is less likely to cause reactions. JFW | T@lk 20:28, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

I concur as well. There are certain terms that Wikipedia is better off preventing as usernames; Jewish is one of them. Now "AYidInBrooklynHeights" on the other hand… :) Thank you. -- Avi 04:29, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Please note that some other usernames beginning with "Jewish" — JewishKaveman, Jewishgenius, Jewisharific — have been used and remain unblocked. Other such names have existed, some offensive (due to the rest of the name), some not. Why is the single unattached word "Jewish" now so controversial? Are all these "Christian" usernames blocked, or all these "Muslim" usernames, or all these "Buddhist" usernames? There's no username block on User:Christian or User:Muslim or User:Buddhist. So what's wrong with being User:Jewish? SAJordan talkcontribs 20:31, 19 Dec 2006 (UTC).

[edit] Please choose a new username

Per below unfortunately I need you to change your username as it obviously concerns users (above) and breaches WP:U which states clearly;

Inappropriate usernames include both clear and masked names. Fairly or unfairly, the line between acceptable and unacceptable user names is drawn by those who find the username inappropriate, not by the creator of the name. Please don't try to find this line.

Instructions follow:

Your username has been blocked indefinitely because it may be rude or inflammatory, unnecessarily long/confusing, too similar to an existing user, contains the name of an organization or website, uses non-Latin characters, or is otherwise inappropriate (see our blocking and username policies for more information). You are encouraged to create a new account and contribute to Wikipedia under a more appropriate username. Wikipedia:Username provides guidance on selecting an appropriate username. You may also edit Wikipedia without creating an account.

You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia under an inappropriate username. If you would like to discuss the block, you may appeal on your talk page or email the administrator who blocked you. Due to Wikipedia's mechanism for enforcing name changes, your IP address may be temporarily blocked. Unless you have also been engaging in vandalism or impersonation of another user, we will remove that block as soon as possible.

If you want to keep the contributions from your old account for your new username, please follow these directions: (1) Add {{unblock-un|new username}} to your user talk page. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can still edit your own talk page. (2) Soon, an admin may come to unblock you. (3) You will have 24 hours after the unblock to file a request on Wikipedia:Changing username before you may be re-blocked. Note that this can only be done before you create the new one. For more information, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username. In many cases (especially if your account has few or no edits), it is a lot easier to create a new account.

[edit] Offer to unblock

Jewish, if you're interested in changing your username, I'd be happy to unblock you. Simply make an edit to this page (any edit at all will do, as I'll notice it on my watchlist). If you're still here and want to be unblocked, I will guide you through the process of requesting a username change from one of our bureaucrats (or effectively do it on your behalf) and do my utmost to resolve this matter ASAP. Let me know.--Kchase T 08:54, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
