WHo are you and why do you call someone else's efforts nonsense? Why would a brand new article be deleted. It was good, this is nonsense, no wonder this place has bad press just now. This is like a small town, with bullies.

I am assuming that you are WikipediaGrrl. A brand new article would be deleted because it met the criteria for deletion. A small town with bullies? No, it's an encyclopedia with rules. And you broke them by creating that article.

It was advertising. It broke the Neutral Point of View policy. It had no meaningful content. It was about a self proclaimed "artistic genious".

The article was nothing more than an incoherent attempt to get people to visit an artist's site. It broke the rules, end of story.

Despite what you might think, this isn't a playground - Wikipedia has it's rules. Rules that your article broke. And so that article was deleted. Because it was nonsense. Therefore breaking the rules.

END. OF. STORY.

The article was deleted. By an administrator. Because it broke the rules.

Go to criteria for speedy deletion and I'm sure you will realize why your article was deleted - it filled nearly all of those criteria.

Oh, and by the way, in answer to your "who are you" question, I'm a user who knows and respects the rules, a far cry from yourself.

Also, all I did was mark it for possible violation of the rules. I didn't delete it - an administrator did. Go bitch about it to them - I'm sure you'll find that they're in a much more advantageous position to tell you of the rules than I am.

Please substitute the templates you add to a user talk page by adding subst: before the tag ( {{subst:test1}} instead of {{test1}} ). This adds the text directly from the template rather than loading the template every time the page is viewed. Also, it isn't really necessary to add your username to a template if it doesnt use it, I've seen you do a few of those on welcome templates and such. Hi. There's been a consensus that WP:IAR should be kept as simple as possible. The trouble with elaborating on the basic phrasing, we've found, is that then people come along and elaborate on the elaborations and before long you have some kind of monstrosity that no-one will read. Also, I have an instant dislike to anything that leads in to an lengthy elaboration of a simple, pithy phrase by saying 'in short', but that's just the editor in me. --Nick Boalch ?!? 12:48, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

You are correct that this is not appropriate article styling (as in WP:MOS). However I really disagree with placing such intrusive and excessive warning boxes at the start of an article as your way of expressing that. Frankly it borders on disrupting Wikipedia to make a point. Please leave serious issues to the article tags, and leave other problems, like this one, to the talk pages. I would do it myself if I had time, but instead I stumbled on several articles with excessive use of the word "you" rather than "the player" and simply added a divbox to the top of the page asking editors to change it. I hardly see how that is disruptive of the article, encyclopedia, or other users, let alone to make a point. It's a notice and a request, nothing more.

Regardless, perhaps it should go on the talk page. But what's the point of having a template like divbox when there's no reason to use them? If someone notices something amiss about the article, why not put a custom notice at the top? -Jetman123 14:34, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

Because it is a huge overreaction - it makes the article terribly ugly and discredited for the sake of a small wording grievance. I dont really know how else to civilly explain something that simple. Remy B 14:51, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Renfield syndrome, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria.
