Jet Phynx also known as Parris Anthony Duncan has been Rapping since he was 9 years old. Now at age 24 he has finally made his way into the mainstream world. "Rise of the Phynx,"the name for Jet's recentally released mixtape puts smalltown Newark Delaware on the map in the hip hop world. Appearances from Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Chops, DJ Skee, Cut Master C, DJ Folk, Street Sweepers Radio, Jon Conners, Jay City, The Gorillas, and many more, show that Mr. Duncan can "Rap his ass off". A recent Artcle in Out N About magazine talks about the death of Jet's father, and many events in his life that make him the rapper he is today. Jet has had counless oppritunities to sign a deal but has choisen to stay loyal to his company Cashmire Records. Cashmire is Co-owned by Jet and his Manager and buisness parter Ross Hockrow. Jet says "I'm in no rush to sign a deal, we have plenty of money to produce an album, and thats what we're gonna do. We wanna prove we can do it ourselves and then after that we'll think about signing." That Album he is refering to is Amber Glow Light, which is set to drop early next year. This will be Jet's first solo album. Also sometime in the first half of 07 Jet will make his big screen debut, when a Cashmire Production storms the movie world. It is said that the movie is the story of how Cashmire Records came to be. Jet commented on the movie and said, "I every rappers movie is the same, they sell drugs then make it in rap and live happily ever after. No we didnt sell drugs, my manager played poker and funded the whole company. He did all this before he was 21. And thats all I'm sayin." Jet went on to say that the movie was a cross between 8 mile and Rounders. You can find more informaion on Jet Phynx by going to [www.myspace.com/jetphynx]

[edit] Welcome / Rise Of Phynx Mixtape

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I came across you through Lupe Fiasco's Wikipedia Page, and you're MySpace where you have the track "Candy (Feat. Lupe Fiasco)" (Good work, by the way) and I decided to create a page for you're mixtape (Rise Of The Phynx: The Mixtape). Now, as you've yet to release an actual album, and haven't made you're movie premiere yet, I don't think a page created about you (an actual Article, not a User Page) would meet the requirements, and would probably be deleted after a day or two (I've had expierence with this (i.e. Ryu, Tak, whose articles were almost deleted, even though they've enjoyed mainstream success), but after you've generated more hype, and maybe released an album and/or had you're movie premiere appearence, I'd be happy to create to create and Watch an article (which will put it in my list of Watched pages, and I can keep an eye on it and make sure people don't vandalise you're page) about you. Anyway, just wanted to mention that, and wish you luck in you're career. Anyone who has backing from both Lupe Fiasco and Kanye West, is definitley worth checking out, so now that you've released the Mixtape, I don't think you'll have trouble with gaining listeners. Best Regards, Jay 05:34, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
