Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! [edit] SI Units

Can you please justify your change on Leatherback Sea Turtle either in your edit summary or on the Talk page. It is bad form just to revert. Guettarda 18:28, 20 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Shot on sight

Because it's one of the most annoying habits I have ever seen. In case it wasn't obvious, I was not entirely serious about shooting people, I usually just say something like "Aaargh" when I see it :) -- Ferkelparade π 14:48, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sandbox deletion

If you want User:Jesusfreak/Sandbox deleted, you can just put the {{db-owner}} speedy deletion tag on the page, it's quicker than going through AfD. BryanG 04:33, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] AfD Nomination LostMagic Complete List of Spells

I've nominated the article LostMagic Complete List of Spells for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that LostMagic Complete List of Spells satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/LostMagic Complete List of Spells. Don't forget to add four tildes (˜˜˜˜) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of LostMagic Complete List of Spells during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Doing so will not end the discussion. Sandstein 04:32, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your username

Hi. You may not be aware of it, but Wikipedia's policy on inappropriate usernames - Wikipedia:Username#Inappropriate_usernames - forbids names that include religious figures. Normally, these names are blocked on sight. Please see the boilerplate message below, which includes instructions on how to request a name change. Thanks. --BigDT 04:59, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Hello Jesusfreak, unfortunately the username you have picked is inappropriate. Please consider changing it. You can do this by following the instructions at the Changing username page or by just creating a new account. Note that changing your username will allow you to keep your current edits credited to you. If you do not change your username, a Wikipedia administrator may block this account. If you feel this message is a mistake and your username does not violate the rule, please feel free to leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. --BigDT 04:59, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Your username has been blocked indefinitely because it may be rude or inflammatory, unnecessarily long/confusing, too similar to an existing user, contains the name of an organization or website, or is otherwise inappropriate (see our blocking and username policies for more information).

You are encouraged to create a new account and contribute to Wikipedia under a more appropriate username. Wikipedia:Username provides guidance on selecting an appropriate username. You may also edit Wikipedia without creating an account.

You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia under an inappropriate username. If you would like to discuss the block, you may appeal on your talk page or email the administrator who blocked you. Due to Wikipedia's mechanism for enforcing name changes, your IP address may be temporarily blocked. Unless you have also been engaging in vandalism or impersonation of another user, we will remove that block as soon as possible.

If you want to keep the contributions from your old account for your new username, please follow these directions: (1) Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} to your user talk page. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can still edit your own talk page. (2) Soon, an admin may come to unblock you. (3) You will have 24 hours after the unblock to file a request on Wikipedia:Changing username before you may be re-blocked. Note that this can only be done before you create the new one. For more information, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username. In many cases (especially if your account has few or no edits), it is a lot easier to create a new account.
