The essay in question appeared in The American Journal of Theology, published by the University of Chicago Press. This would seem to qualify it as a reliable source, as it is an academic journal published by a major university. --Head of the Caligula Appreciation Society 19:54, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

Could somebdy please add some sources or tell where you got your information? Please check out Wikipedia Policy on Verfiability for more guidelines about sourcing. I am adding an unreferenced tag to that article now. Also, on a Google search for Jesusism, I found ~500 sites. The top ~40 or so I looked at the summaries, and could find nothing substantiating what is written. Editors, please add some references, and delete those tags when you're done. If good references for this article are not provided soon I will delete it as a re-creation of an article that was previously deleted for not providing sources. At best, this is an "emerging topic" for which we seem to have no basis for producing an encyclopedia article. I suggest that this topic might find a starting place on some other Wikipedia page such as Jesus. If it ever grows to a large enough topic, it can at that time have its own page. --JWSchmidt 00:30, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

That is a good idea, but perhaps we should allow the author a day or two to add some more references? I just went through all the sources he listed and added fact tags where needed. Copysan 02:00, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

I'm in no hurry. Frankly, Wikipedia seems to have room for every silly pop culture item and event. Maybe it also has room for every fledgling religious philosophy. As an admin, I am supposed to enforce deletion decisions, and as far as I can tell, there was a clear consensus to delete this article. --JWSchmidt 15:37, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

Can someone add a comparison of the key beliefs in Christianity, Deism, and Jesusism? Such as this example:

Belief that Jesus was the son of God: Christianity- Yes/No Deism- Yes/No Jesusism- Yes/No
