[edit] About JHS

Jesuit High School is a college preparatory and, as such, students graduating from Jesuit will have completed a course of study which well prepares them for college and university studies. Freshmen schedules are determined by reviewing current grades, teacher recommendations, and test scores (both the High School Placement Test (HSPT) taken in January and department designed, curriculum-based placement tests taken in April).

[edit] Trivia

  • Before settling on marauders as the school mascot in the early 1960s, others were considered, including space cadets (referring to the space race at the time).
  • The school is built on what was once a large hops farm.
  • The school colors are Crimson (for the blood of the martyrs) and Gold (for the crown of the king).
  • Most of the cars owned by the school and driven by the Jesuits who live on campus are Mazdas.
  • Jesuit High School is well known throughout the California high school community for their good sports teams and facilities.
