Jessica Capshaw

Jessica Capshaw (born August 9, 1976 in Columbia, Missouri) is an American actress best known for her role as attorney Jamie Stringer on the ABC legal drama The Practice. Capshaw is the daughter of Robert Capshaw and actress Kate Capshaw, and step-daughter of director Steven Spielberg. She graduated from Harvard-Westlake School in 1994 and Brown University in 1998 with an English degree. She then attended acting classes at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) in London.
In the motion picture, Valentine, her role as Dorothy Wheeler was handed over from Hedy Burress, who originally auditioned for the role but ended up with the role of Ruthie Walker.
