Jessica Buchanan Vega is a fictional character on the ABC soap opera, One Life to Live. Actress Erin Torpey is best known in the role, playing her continuously for 12 years. Bree Williamson assumed the role in 2003.

Jessica Eugenia Buchanan is the daughter of Victoria Lord and Clint Buchanan. Immediately after her birth, she was kidnapped by the mentally unstable Allison Perkins on instructions from Viki's nemesis, Mitch Laurence. Jessica was eventually returned, and grew up to be a strong and independent teenager.

When Clint and Viki's marriage ended in divorce, Viki became involved with Sloan Carpenter. Jessica reacted to the divorce by rebelling, staying out late to smoke and drink.

As a teenager, Jessica met Cristian Vega, and they were instantly attracted to each other. Jessica's father, Clint, and Cristian's mother, Carlotta Vega, objected to the relationship, forcing them to see each other in secret. Cristian wanted more than a platonic relationship which made Jessica very uncomfortable. One night, Clint caught them having sex, and forbade Jessica from seeing Cristian.

Later, Jessica became involved with Will Rappaport; they conceived a child, but Dorian Cramer Lord accidentally hit Jessica with her car, and the baby was stillborn.

Natalie Balsom appeared in 2001, soon revealing that she was actually the biological daughter of Viki and Clint Buchanan. At first it was believed that when Allison Perkins had kidnapped the Buchanan baby in 1987, another child was returned and grew up to be Jessica. Jessica began a tenuous relationship with Natalie's wild mother Roxy Balsom, whom she believed to be her mother, and with Roxy's biological son Rex. But when a DNA test on Jessica proved that she was also Viki's daughter, the real story came out.

Mitch Laurence had secretly raped a drugged Viki around the same time she conceived a child with Clint. Viki unknowingly became pregnant with fraternal twins, one fathered by Clint (Natalie) and the other fathered by Mitch (Jessica). Dr. Walter Balsom, who had been one of religious leader Mitch's disciples, took Mitch's daughter during delivery, and Viki never knew she'd had more than one child. Mitch, however, wanted his daughter to grow up loved by Viki in the lap of luxury, and sent Allison to kidnap Clint's child. They replaced her with Mitch's daughter (who would become Jessica), and gave Clint's daughter (who would become Natalie) to Dr. Balsom and his wife Roxy.

Jessica fell in love with Cristian's brother, Antonio Vega (Cristian had married her sister Natalie before being presumed dead). Jessica was kidnapped by Stephen Haver, a serial killer who had been preying on the female alumni of Llanview University. She was rescued before Haver could do anything to her. Jessica later married Tico Santi, a cousin to the Vegas, who turned out to be responsible for Cristian's disappearance and subsequent brainwashing.

It was later revealed that, like her mother, Jessica suffered from Dissociative Identity Disorder, formerly known as multiple personality disorder. Though she was involved with Antonio, her wild alter ego, Tess, dated and soon fell for Nash Brennan. The casue of her mental illness was eventually discovered to be the fact that Jessica had been molested as a child by a man named Norman Leeds. Recently, Jessica gave birth to Nash's daughter, Brennan Buchanan, and married Antonio in November 2006.
