[edit] Rice MBA
The MBA program combines three essential elements: (1) A comprehensive and challenging core curriculum which provides a solid foundation of basic business disciplines; (2) A required Action Learning Project, a summer internship, and numerous field-project-oriented electives that offer ample opportunities for real-world practice; and (3) A host of specialized electives. The course on “Leadership Communications” is integrated across the curriculum, with instruction in strategic communications, plus team and individual coaching in oral and written communication. The Rice MBA is accredited by AACSB International.
Key points of the Rice MBA Program

This low student-to-faculty ratio results in enhance communications and interactions between students and the faculty. The Jones School’s exceptional faculty is composed of energetic, leading-edge academics and highly experienced adjunct professors who take active interest in students’ career objectives and are always available at any time for resolving issues and clarifications that students may have.
• Approaches to Learning: The Jones School’s faculty maintains an important balance between teaching and research, believing that current industry knowledge is as critical as textbooks are towards education of an individual. All of the school’s instructors are either academics with significant business or consulting experience or business executives with significant classroom experience who teach specialized elective courses. Depending on what’s most appropriate for each course, Jones School instructors utilize multiple instructional methods to enhance the learning process—case-method study, analytical and quantitative approaches, lectures and discussions, oral and written reports, theoretical studies, management simulation games, individual study, and teamwork.
• Location: Houston is a goldmine for career opportunities, being only second to New York in the number of Fortune 500 companies located here.
