Jesse William Foppert [FAH-pert] (born July 10, 1980 in Reading, PA) is a right-handed pitching prospect for the San Francisco Giants. After attending the University of San Francisco, Foppert was selected by the San Francisco Giants in the 2nd Round (74th overall) of the 2001 amateur draft.

After a swift rise through the Giants' minor league system, Foppert was considered one of the elite pitching prospects in Major League Baseball at the end of the 2002 season. He made his major league debut on April 14, 2003. In September of 2003, he underwent Tommy John surgery to repair a complete tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow.

Foppert was acquired by the Mariners along with Yorvit Torrealba for Randy Winn on July 30, 2005.

Foppert was released on March 19, 2007 from the Mariners after failing to make the club as a nonroster invitee. On March 24, 2007 the Giants signed him.

He resides in San Francisco with his wife, McKenna.
