Jess Klein

Jess Klein (born in 1975 in Rochester, New York) is an American folk singer/songwriter. She attended Hamilton College in Clinton, NY and graduated in 1994. She began her career in the Boston folk scene in the mid-1990s and opened for Ani DiFranco, Martin Sexton, and Richard Shindell, among others. She has performed as part of Voices on the Verge, along with Beth Amsel, Erin McKeown, and Rose Polenzani. Before 1999, she released two self-released albums, then a studio album, Draw Them Near. She took a five-year break from recording before releasing her second studio album, Strawberry Lover.
