Jerry Mumphrey

Jerry Wayne Mumphrey (born September 9, 1952 in Tyler, Texas) was an outfielder for the St. Louis Cardinals (1974-79), San Diego Padres (1980), New York Yankees (1981-83), Houston Astros (1983-85) and Chicago Cubs (1986-88).

He helped the Yankees win the 1981 American League Pennant.

He was named to the 1984 National League All-Star Team.

He finished 20th in voting for the 1981 American League MVP for playing in 80 Games and having 319 At Bats, 44 Runs, 98 Hits, 11 Doubles, 5 Triples, 6 Home Runs, 32 RBI, 14 Stolen Bases, 24 Walks, .307 Batting Average, .354 On-base percentage, .429 Slugging Percentage, 137 Total Bases, 5 Sacrifice Hits, 2 Sacrifice Flies and 1 Intentional Walk.

In 15 seasons he played in 1,585 Games and had 4,993 At Bats, 660 Runs, 1,442 Hits, 217 Doubles, 55 Triples, 70 Home Runs, 575 RBI, 174 Stolen Bases, 478 Walks, .289 Batting Average, .349 On-base percentage, .396 Slugging Percentage, 1,979 Total Bases, 29 Sacrifice Hits, 41 Sacrifice Flies and 49 Intentional Walks.
