Jerry Larson is an attorney and political activist.

Born in 1973, Larson obtained a bachelor's degree in History from Sam Houston State University in 1995 and a Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law in 1999. He is the Executive Director of Houston's Southeast Texas Legal Clinic, a nonprofit law firm that assists low income Texans living with terminal illnesses. Larson also served two years as co-chair of the Harris County Green Party.

Larson ran for the Green Party of Texas nomination for governor in order to bring attention to the obstacles minor parties face in achieving ballot access and media attention.

In order for Larson to appear on Texas ballots as a candidate in November, 2006, the Green Party would have needed to have obtained more than 45,000 signatures of registered voters who did not vote in a party primary.

Although his opponents Kinky Friedman and Carol Keeton Strayhorn had their ballot access petitions certified, Larson was running under the Green Party ticket, but the Green Party of Texas failed to gather the needed signatures for ballot access prior to June 1, 2006. Further, Larson did not qualify to become a write-in candidate for the upcoming election.
