Jerry DaVanon

Frank Gerald DaVanon (born August 21, 1945, in Oceanside, California) was a Major League Baseball infielder.
Drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 1st round of the 1966 MLB amateur draft, DaVanon would make his Major League Baseball debut with the San Diego Padres on April 11, 1969, and appear in his final game on May 4, 1977.
DaVanon was a member of the inaugural San Diego Padres team that began play in Major League Baseball in 1969.
DaVannon is the father of current Major League Baseball outfielder Jeff DaVanon.
