Jerry Behn is the Iowa State Senator from the 24th District and Assistant Majority Leader in the Iowa Senate. He has served in the Iowa Senate since 1996.
Behn currently serves on several committees in the Iowa Senate - the Human Resources committee; the Judiciary committee; the Natural Resources and Environment committee; the State Government committee; and the Ethics committee, where he is the ranking member.
Behn was re-elected in 2004 with 19,409 votes, defeating Democratic opponent Russell D. Wiesley. [1]
