Jeremy Gelbwaks

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jeremy Gelbwaks (born May 22, 1961) was an actor who starred in the television series The Partridge Family from 1970-1971.

Gelbwaks was the first actor to play the role of Chris Partridge. After the first year, press releases explained his departure by saying his family relocated to Virginia after his father got a job with the United States government. In subsequent years, it was disclosed that he and Danny Bonaduce clashed, and he was replaced by Brian Forster. Gelbwaks worked in the computer industry from 1982-1999, studied business at Columbia University, and is now a management consultant. He has appeared in a couple of "Partridge Family" reunions with his TV family, including "Chris #2".

By coincidence, he lived in New Orleans for many years - also the home of Susan Cowsill, the youngest member of The Cowsills, the real-life family band which inspired The Partridge Family.
