James Lee is studying for a Master of Journalism degree at the University of Hong Kong. He is learning to edit Wikipedia under the guidance of Professor Andrew Lih (User:Fuzheado).

Jepense is a combination of the French words, Je and pense. Together, they mean "I think". It's part of a statement by French philosopher, René Descartes, who said I think, therefore I am, which in Latin reads cogito ergo sum, and in French Je pense, donc je suis.
