[edit] Photo/tech support needed

I need someone's help. The lead off picture needs to be a still from a recent film or a more recent reference than the current pic. I can find pics but can't get them to save as JPEGS (keep saving as BMPs which Wikipedia won't accept).

Thanks to everyone who helped with the addition of a recent screen shot from Jennifer's work.
That would be me. Your welcome. I saw your message and I have HoSaF lying around, so I thought I would go for it. I will see if I can't get a few more things together about her. --None-of-the-Above 13:05, 2 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] New Look For Page

Hey, cool new organization on the page. Good job!

Thanks. I'm trying to do the same for a large number of actors and the like. I think it makes the articles look a lot better.Vulturell 18:45, 16 November 2005 (UTC)
It sure does, well done! Bergsten 19:19, 16 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] AD III

I forgot to mention this in my edit. House of Sand and Fog is by Andre Dubus III, not his father, who is Andre Dubus (the II, presumably!) I've been meaning to fix that. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 151.141.113.171 (talk • contribs) 14:47, 16 December 2005 (UTC).

[edit] Polyglot?

Why is Jennifer included in the polyglots category but there is no mention in the article of any ability to speak several languages? Can someone either verify that she is, in fact, a polyglot, or remove that category? Thanks. ---Charles 04:22, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: mag cover

I deleted the cover I uploaded from TIME, I was pretty sure that was her, but maybe not! I've jsut replaced it in the article with an Esquire cover. Although I've been around a while, haven't dealt with Images extensively, hopefully this one will do better! — xaosflux Talk 15:44, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] picture

I really am quite sure that isnt her in the picture Adamshappy 22:53, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

If you are refernig to the Esquire cover, pleas check Esquire's people on covers listing. — xaosflux Talk 01:00, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] figure

Having long been known more for her curvy figure than her considerable talents, Connelly had drastically slimmed down by the dawn of the 21st century, opening up a new career for her.

Seriously, what the hell? Apathetic 19:32, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

I agree, that is utter rubbish. It is unsourced and sounds stupid. ---Charles 19:39, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the edit, Yamla. ---Charles 20:32, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

No problem. The sentence was amusing but out of place. --Yamla 20:39, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
Yes, sort of immaturely amusing, but certainly out of place. ---Charles 20:43, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Jennifer Connelly had mammaplasty reduction sometime in 1993 or 1994. It's not just her slimming down, she had breast reduction surgery. Stop deleting this, it's not vandalism. - Jasgbro

It is vandalism unless you can find a reliable citation that she had this done and that it was done so she would be taken more seriously as an actor. Remember, it is your responsibility to ensure the information you add is verifiable. --Yamla 14:24, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use of Image:Esquire Jennifer Connelly 1991 8.jpg

I've moved this image out of the infobox and back as an article thumbnail. In the article fair use is being asserted by virute of illustrating an article, or part of an article, which specifically describes the issue in question or its cover. To this end I believe that fair use is asseted, however this is not an approriate picture for the infobox, as it the info box is general to the subject. Comments? — xaosflux Talk 21:16, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

I agree with your logic, and the picture move. ---Charles 21:21, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
I concur. --Yamla 21:32, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Jennifer Connelly Pier Shot

Can someone smarter than me please confirm that Dark City, Requiem For A Dream, and House Of Sand And Fog do feature virtually the same shot of Mrs. Connelly standing on an ocean pier? If my memory serves me correctly, three different directors have, within half a decade of each other, placed this actress on an ocean pier to further their own dramatic ends, and it is quite a cinematic quirk. Does it deserve mention anywhere on Wikipedia?

  • Only if you can demonstrate that doing so does not violate our Wikipedia:No original research policy, by citing a reliable source outside of Wikipedia that has already made such a connection. Wikipedia is not the place for publishing new things. Please publish any new analyses that you have of Connelly and these films in a book or a paper. Uncle G 13:22, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Little Children

This article states that her role in Little Children was reduced from it's importance in the book. I've seen the movie and read the book and the roles are virtually the same. So I think someone should remove that line.

[edit] Personal Info

I heard in a recent interview - Inside the Actors Studio, I think - that Jennifer is an avid mountain climber, and has trekked in, among others, the Himalayas and the Andes. Can anyone expound on this? Is it worth including in the article?
