[edit] This article is supposed to be about Jennifer Chiba

This is an article for jennifer chiba, but all it really contains is a drawn out mess of possibly relevant details about her relation with elliott's death.

If it's going to be an article on Chiba, it needs to be focused on her, elliott's death should of course be mentioned, but it should just be one concise section to the article, most the quotes ought to be in the notes section rather than written in full in the article. The article needs to either be changed, or moved to "Elliott Smith's Death", if its just about the case. --7PusaAJ 00:13, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

I put sections into the article, and changed the introduction to at least say she is a musician, and not just suspected of being involved in smith's death. Created 'elliott's death' section to put most the article in, and moved some of the background to it there, from the intro. Also created 'trivia' section, and 'background' section - some information on her, especially pre-elliott needs to be added here --7PusaAJ 00:25, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Great, expand the article all you like. Personally I have no idea how notable she is as a musician, and it is unfortunately probable that most people coming here are looking to find speculation on Elliott's death. Pomte 00:35, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

This article contains very little factual data it is mostly speculation. It incriminates an innocent woman and could be taken as slanderous.

I see nothing incriminating; the article is a digest of data presumably reported by the media. Many of our articles do this. In any event, this article is not a CSD; I suggest you list it on Wikipedia:Votes for deletion if you're really troubled by it, but I suspect it will survive the voting process. -- Hadal 19:11, 4 Nov 2004 (UTC)
To be honest I feel a little sad for the girl myself, there's more talk about Smith's death than any of her music. :/ I mainly moved stuff out of the Elliott Smith article into here, just because it was out of place there, but it was well-referenced, so it seemed a shame to just bin it. Perhaps some re-wording for better neutrality is in order? - Phorque 15:46, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Isn't it ironic? Don'tcha think?

"Ironically" is used improperly here. It should be "coincidentally". Playa.

Stabbing oneself in the heart is a pretty odd way to commit suicide; I guess we'll never know. :(

== [edit] 03/02 Jennifer Chiba had absolutly nothing to do with elliott's death and accusing her just extends the tragedy of this perpetually suicidal artists demise. Fuck all of the sceptics.

white city took a friend of mine. RIP elliott <3

[edit] Redirection problems

I typed in "Happy Ending" and was redirected here. Now, I know nothing about Jennifer Chiba, and don't care after reading this stub of information, but I just want to know why Happy Ending redirects here, instead of massage parlers or something... Could somebody clear that up for me? Jeramiah Windsor

[edit] The Warlocks

(from SPIN) But in some way is she responsible for his death?

Possibly, according to Smith’s friends who lost touch with him after he began using heroin and crack heavily in Los Angeles, and to those who knew Chiba from her bleakest days, when she played bass with the notoriously drugged-out psychedelic rockers the Warlocks. These people blame her for enabling Smith’s romance with heroin.

Shouldn it be mentioned that Chiba was in the Warlocks?
