Jenny Island (Marguerite Bay)

Jenny Island or Isla Juanita is a rocky island 2 miles long which rises to 500 m, lying 3 miles east of Cape Alexandra, the southeastern extremity of Adelaide Island, in northern Marguerite Bay. Jenny Island is located at 67°44′S 68°24′W and has an elevation of 500 m. Jenny Island was discovered by the French Antarctic Expedition (1908-1910) under Jean-Baptiste Charcot and named by him for the wife of Sub-Lieutenant Maurice Bongrain, French Navy, second officer of the expedition.
