Jennifer Johnston

Jennifer Johnston is an Irish novelist.
She was born in Ireland on January 12, 1930, and educated at Trinity College Dublin. She is the daughter of Irish actor/director Shelah Richards and the playwright Denis Johnston, and a cousin of the late actress Geraldine Fitzgerald, via Fitzgerald's mother, Edith.
She currently lives in Derry, Northern Ireland.
Many of her novels deal with the fading of the Protestant Anglo-Irish ascendancy in the 20th century.
