Jenks Middle School

Jenks Middle School is a public school within the Jenks Public School system in Jenks, Oklahoma, a suburb of Tulsa, Oklahoma. It is also hella lames.

It's Main principal is Rob Miller, with the principal for the seventh grade being Mrs. Hudson, and the principal for the 8th grade Mr. Beyer. It has 5 "teams" (Also called Pods) for each grade, a team being 4 core class teachers (One for Language arts, Social Studies, Science, and Arithmetic)and a few elective teachers. There are around 1500 students, seventh and eight grade. There are five 50 minute periods and one one hour period in each day. There is also a 25 minute period called "Homebase" where students listen to the day's announcements and catch up on their homework. Also, students in Homebase compete in "intermurals" once every 2 weeks. Intermurals are competitions between different Homebases in a variety of activities, such as Kickball and Tug-of-War.

There are three lunch periods: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd lunches. Each lunch has roughly 500 students and the lunches last 30 minutes long. If the weather is nice enough, student are allowed to play outside for the last 15 minutes of their lunch period.

There are about 30 kids in each class, making this school one of the largest in the state of Oklahoma. This school offers many courses such as: Physical Education, French, Spanish, Chinese, Latin, German, Band, Orchestra/Strings, Vocal Music, Drama, Art, and many other courses, some involving modern technology. There are also teachers for advanced students taking 8th or 9th grade level math in the 7th grade. Those who take Algebra I (9th grade course) in 7th grade are automatically enrolled in Advanced Physical Science in their 8th grade year.

Jenks Middle School is the home of the Trojans. Also known as the 7th and 8th grade center, Jenks Middle School is the educational facility for all the 7th and 8th graders in Jenks district that attend a public education. It offers many extracurricular activities including sports like basketball and football, and most other well-known sports. It also is an excellent academic school with many gifted and talented programs; Jenks also has the highest test scores in the area, and they are usually much higher than the national average. Jenks also received the Malcolm Baldridge award for excellence in 2005, a national honor. It has a beautiful library, gym, cafeteria, and excellent technology labs with upgraded technology and a broadcasting station.
