Description

Jenny Lind "The Swedish Nightingale".
A Daguerrotype of Jenny Lind in New York, September 14 1850 with based on 2006 digital image editing. The original Daguerrotype was taken by her Swedish classmate, Poly Von Schneidau from Chicago, at the Mathew Brady Studio in New York City. Original Daguerrotype DAG 509X is in the Library of Congress. This dagerrotype was later made into a lithograph of Jenny Lind by D'Avignon probabaly at the behest of P.T. Barnum.
