Thanks for the vote of confidence Jellis. I was starting to think my memory was playing tricks...
I think you might have hit the nail right on the head about what the Americans regards as Punk. I did wonder what Sandi Thom was on about, I thought either she was just stretching her poetic licence or was really bad at history.
How is Cirencester by the way? I used to play 5-a-side football there during the mid-eighties when I worked in Malmesbury at my first job. Haven't you got this giant cathedral in the middle of the road that all the traffic has to squeeze past? We always used to go for a curry somewhere near there after playing football but I don't remember the name. I do remember, however, that it was the first place I ever had Bombay Duck!
